New Years Eve (íslenska fyrir neðan)

Here we go, Christmas and New Years are coming up, people start panicking about gifts, what to give, whom to give, how much to give and all that. I'll try not to worry too much about it, but will give my credit card a rest year and keep it simple but personal without resorting to crafts. So, Christmas isn't that much of a problem. New Years on the other hand... Me, Tyrone, Don Thomas, Tino and possibly Don Freysano were thinking about doing something different this New Years, maybe even go abroad. That has been thrown off the table and now it's New Years in Iceland, but possibly somewhere else than in the Capital of Cool aka Reykjavík. But, I have the Viking blood in me, want to travel and see new things so I'm asking you, both of the readers of this blog, to comment on what to do. The options are as follows:
1. Stay at home, celebrate New Years with friends in a cool location, somewhere in the Highlands maybe. Fly to Ireland early January and start preparing for the trip to London
2. Same as above, but instead of going Reykjavík-London-Shannon go something like Reykjavík-Frankfurt-Shannon and pick Janina up on the way to Ireland. Could also meet up with Judith (see picture below) and of course Marc from Roverway (picture coming soon).
3. Stay in Ireland for New Year.... nah, skip this one.
4. Go to Hungary for New Year, visit Panka, Szözi and the rest of the gang. Fly to Ireland and resume normal life.

So, what ya think... I'm thinking option 2 is pretty good. (Roverway reunion) and the visit from David and Anne.

Jæja, þá er komið að því, jól og áramót nálgast, fólk fer að hafa áhyggjur af gjöfum, hvað á að gefa, hverjum á að gefa, hvað mikið á að gefa og allt það. Ég ætla að reyna að hafa ekki of miklar áhyggjur af því, gefa kreditkortinu mínu smá pásu og hafa gjafirnar einfaldar og persónulegar án þess að fara að föndra. Þannig að, jólin eru ekki mikið vandamál. Gamlárskvöld hinsvegar... Ég, Tyrone, Don Thomas, Tino og hugsanlega Don Freysano vorum að pæla í að gera eitthvað öðruvísi þessi áramót, hugsanlega fara erlendis. Þessari hugmynd hefur verið sópað af borðinu þannig að nú er það Gamlárskvöld á Íslandi en hugsanlega einhversstaðar annars staðar en í The Capital of Cool, Reykjavík. En, ég hef víkingablóðið í æðum mér og langar að ferðast og sjá nýja hluti þannig að ég spyr ykkur báða lesendur þessa bloggs til að gefa mér ráðleggingar hvað skal gera.

Eftirfarandi valmöguleikar eru til boða:

1. Vera heima, halda uppá áramótin með vinum á einhverjum flottum stað, t.d. uppá hálendinu. Fljúga til Írlands snemma í janúar og byrja undirbúning fyrir Roverway reunion í London og heimsókn David og Anne.

2. Sama og að ofan, nema í stað þess að fara Reykjavík-London-Shannon að gera eitthvað eins og Reykjavík-Frankfurt-Shannon og ná í Janinu á leiðinni aftur til Írlands. Gæti þá nýtt ferðina og kíkt í heimsókn til Judith (sjá mynd að neðan) og Marc frá Roverway (mynd kemur fljótlega).

3. Vera á Írlandi um áramótin... nee, sleppum þessu!

4. Fara til Ungverjalands um áramótin, heimsækja Pönku, Szözi og restina af genginu þeirra. Fljúga til Írlands og taka upp reglubundið líferni... eða þar sem næst.

Hvað finnst ykkur? Mér finnst valmöguleiki 2 helvíti spennandi.
